MAMPU Phase II is Officially Started

The Government of Indonesia (GOI) and the Government of Australia (GOA) have signed Subsidiary Arrangement (SA) of the Australia-Indonesia Partnership for Gender Equality and Womenâs Empowerment (known as MAMPU), Phase II, on 25 January 2017.
The SA expresses cooperation between the GOI and GOA in implementing MAMPU Program, to improve the access of poor women in Indonesia to essential services and other government programs in order to achieve gender equality and womenâs empowerment and support the achievement of relevant GOIâs Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) targets.
MAMPU will improve policies, regulations and government services through a partnership between inclusive coalitions of civil society organisations, and other institutions that are concerned with and committed to helping resolves gender issues in development.
The MAMPU Program will be implemented over three and a half years, starting from 25 January 2017 until 30 June 2020.
Secretary of the Ministry of National Development Planning/Chief Secretary of Bappenas, Imron Bulkin, and Minister-Counsellor, Governance and Human Development, Australian Embassy in Jakarta, Fleur Davies, signed the SA, witnessed by government officials from relevant ministries and MAMPU Partners.
Also attended the SA signing were Deputy Minister of Planning/Head of Bappenas for Human Development, Society and Culture/MAMPU Program Leader at Bappenas, Subandi Sardjoko; Director of Family, Women, Children, Youth and Sports, Woro Srihastuti Sulistyaningrum; Head of the sub-directorate of Women Empowerment, Destry Handayani; Counsellor Nicola Nixon; MAMPU Program Leader at the Australian Embassy and MAMPU senior management staff.
