On Friday (19/2), ‘Aisyiyah Purbalingga held a Training of Trainers for ‘Aisyiyah’s main program called Qoryah Thoyyibah (QT), meaning a village where the people comprehensively apply Islamic teaching into practice. The model taught in the training was coined from ‘Aisyiyah MAMPU Program where ‘Aisyiyah used a women’s group called Balai Sakinah ‘Aisyiyah (BSA) as an approach to society. Training was focused in leadership and institutional strengthening.

Winaryati Eny ‘Aisyiyah-MAMPU Central Java Coordinator explained that the training was conducted by PDA Purbalingga and divided in to three classes with three categories of participants.

“For the participants from regency they were given training on leadership & institutional leadership, those from districts were given training as a district motivator, while the cadres from villages who had received briefing material before were given sessions of leadership,” said Eny.

According Umul Baroroh from ‘Aisyiyah Central Java, ‘Aisyiyah is actively using ToT in all areas for the implementation of ‘Aisyiyah flagship programs such as Qoryah Thoyyibah and Sakinah Family.

“Lesson learnt from ‘Aisyiyah-MAMPU program is aimed to be applied in all ‘Aisyiyah flagship program because ‘Aisyiyah have seen positive results from the program approach which was using BSA,” said Umul. “Therefore, the BSA from ‘Aisiyah-MAMPU models are currently being duplicated to non-MAMPU supported programs,” she added.

It is expected that ‘Aisyiyah QT program could be implemented smoothly through a method coined from ‘Aisyiyah-MAMPU supported program.
