MAMPU and Australian Embassy Visit to MAMPU’s Partner in Sidikalang, North Sumatera

On 26 July 2016, MAMPU team and representatives from the Australian Embassy visited MAMPU’s partners in Sidikalang – Dairi Regency, North Sumatra.
In this occasion, they visited Perkumpulan Sada Ahmo (PESADA) and Credit Union (CU) Pesada Perempuan. PESADA, one of PERMAMPU Consortium members which supported by MAMPU, is a non-governmental organization engaged in the women and marginal society issues.
MAMPU and Australian Embassy team held a discussion with the PESADA management officers about problem encountered in the field. While discussion with CU Pesada Perempuan members talked about the management of the credit union, the benefits gained as the CU member, and also the problems they faced.
In addition, the team also visited the Sidikalang Health Office to discuss the issue of Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights (HKSR) and BPJS. Discussion continued with the Office of Family Planning and Protection of Women and Children (KB & P2PA) related to cooperation for seminar on HKSR.
