YSKK Tenunkoe Held Training on Household Economic Management in Kupang

Yayasan Satu Karya Karsa (YSKK) Tenunkoe, one of the MAMPU Program Innovation Grantees, held a training on Household Economic Management for the women weavers groups on 25 – 27 July 2016. The event that held in Amaris Hotel, Kupang city, was attended by representatives of YSKK, groups of women weavers, representatives of the Industry and Trade Office in Kupang and MAMPU Program.
Anis, Head of the Office of Industry and Trade Kupang, officially opened the training. He has been supporting YSKK since last year, and he said that he would continues his support to Tenunkoe through Industry and Trade Office, such as: establishment of Weaving Village, Weaving School and Weaving Tourism.
In addition, the Chairman of Tenunkoe Cooperative, shared about her experiences on how to manage the household economy with good family financial management for achieving the family goals.
As the part of the event in Kupang, MAMPU Program representatives also visited the weaving village in Nunsaen Village, Central Fatuleu, Kupang. This village is a newly assisted village by YSKK, which recommended by the Kupang Industry and Trade office. They are planning to make the village as the tourist center of weaving, that gives an open opportunity for public to learn weaving. MAMPU also visited weavers groups in Sillu Village. During the visit, the Head and Secretary of the village expressed their intention to include Sillu weaving groups in village budget (APBDes) for the sustainability of women weavers economic activities.
