Project Brief: MAMPU in East Java
MAMPU supports the achievement of Indonesia’s medium-term development plans (RPJMN) and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by empowering women who are poor and improving their access to essential government services and programs. MAMPU reaches marginalised women by working with our network of civil society organisations – the MAMPU Partners – to develop women’s collective capacity and empower them to influence decision making from the village to national level.
MAMPU works in 27 provinces, 147 districts, reaching over 1,100 villages in Indonesia. In East Java, MAMPU partners with 16 civil society organisations (CSOs) in 71 villages in 12 districts/cities.
