‘Aisyiyah in Cianjur held an event entitled Public Hearing and Dissemination on Village Regulations in Mekarwangi and Ciwalen village, Cianjur, West Java for two days from 26th to 27th December 2016.
The event follows from technical assistance and training on drafting village regulations previously conducted by ‘Aisyiyah for ten village officials in Mekarwangi and Ciwalen. The public hearing of Perdes in both areas focused on management of reproductive health programs.
Regional Leader of ‘Aisyiyah in Cianjur, Titin Suastini said that event aimed to provide knowledge and better understanding for the public on the regulations on reproductive health. Furthermore, it was hoped this event would encourage the community’s active participation in drafting regulations.
“Hopefully, the public will provide feedback and advice on the issues addressed so that the regulation would bring greater benefit for society,” she said.
Conducted in the village hall, the event was attended by village heads and officials of Mekarwangi and Ciwalen, head of Village Consultative Body (BPD), representatives of Community Empowerment Body (LPM), Family Welfare Program (PKK), Village Supervisory Non-Commissioned Officers (Babinsa), Board of Trustees for Society (Babinmas) and 40 representatives from communities.
