Hatalai Villagers Discussion on Village Owned Business in Ambon, Maluku

On 23 August 2016, Walang Perempuan, one of the MAMPU’s innovation partners, together with MAMPU team, conducted a site visit and facilitated a discussion held by Hatalai Traditional Villagers about Village Owned Business (Badan Usaha Milik Desa – BUMDes) in Hatalai traditional village, South Leitimur District, Ambon, Maluku.
The forum was held by Hatalai Community groups that consisting of Constituent groups, village facilitators, and traditional women. This event was discussed about the determination of BUMDes manager criteria, mapping the aspirations and needs of the villagers, the determination of BUMDes name, the structure of BUMDes board, and also the criteria for BUMDes operational offices management.
Before the discussion held, Daniella Loupatty (Director of Walang Perempuan), Hatalai Village Secretary, and Secretary of Ambon City Community Empowerment Board, provided an introductory material exposure to mapping the Hatalai BUMDes plan.
The discussion was facilitated by the secretary of the Ambon City Community Empowerment Board. While Daniella Loupatty, facilitated the session of aspirations mapping and needs of the community for BUMDes.
