Hearing of BITRA and Alliance of Home Workers to North Sumatra House of Representative

As part of the advocacy, BITRA with the Alliance of Home Workers conducted a public hearing to the North Sumatra House of Representatives (DPRD) on 02 May 2017.
In this hearing, Wahyudi, Director of BITRA conveyed issue related to home workers. As the response, DPRD North Sumatra Commission E will proposed the issue into draft of local regulations (Ranperda). In addition, the Manpower Office of North Sumatra states the urgency of this local regulation.
Academician from the University of North Sumatra, Agus Midah asserted that the law of protection for home workers is clear enough.
