Partners Forum in East Java: Collective Action for Poverty Alleviation Advocacy

MAMPU Program held a East Java partner forum which attended by representatives from 9 MAMPU partners’ organisation in East Java. This forum was held on 24 June 2016 in ‘Aisyiyah East Java Regional Office in Surabaya.

The partner organisations are Regional Secretariat of KPI East Java, PW ‘Aisyiyah East Java, MWPRI Malang, Pekka Sumenep, Savy Amira Surabaya, Tanoker Jember, KPS2K Gresik, WCC Pasuruan, and Cakrawala Timur Surabaya.

This forum was started with speech from the Head of ‘Aisyiyah East Java Region, Dra. Hj, Siti Dalilah Candra.

During the activity, the partners shared some information related to their focus and activities, including on going policy advocacy action. Next, the MAMPU partners in East Java agreed to do collective action in poverty alleviation advocacy in East Java, based on MAMPU program’s implementation experience, especially related to the issues of national health insurance (JKN) and violence against women.
