An audience for Arika Mahina with the Mayor of Ambon

Yayasan Arika Mahina, a foundation that is one of BaKTI’s regional partners, had an audience with the Mayor of Ambon on Friday, 15 January 2016.

During the audience, Arika Mahina talked about the development of the MAMPU Program and action plans, and about the draft of Perwali (Peraturan Walikota or Mayor Regulation) on fighting HIV/AIDS which is derived from Local Government Regulation No. 10 of 2015 pertaining to HIV/AIDS in Ambon City.

The Mayor of Ambon, Richard Louhenapessy, expressed his appreciation for the MAMPU Program, the benefits of which have been felt by the city government and the community. Regarding the draft of the proposed Perwali, as with the city government, he promised to follow up on the matter. The mayor also thanked the team from Arika Mahina which has helped to create city government policies that benefit the community.

During the audience, Arika Mahina was accompanied by Secretary of Ambon City, Anthony Gustaf Latuheru, the team from the Ambon Health Office that has been drafting the Perwali, representatives from the KPA (National AIDS Commission) and LPPM (Institute for Participation in Community Development) in Ambon City.
