To Convey Program’s Achievements, MAMPU Program Team Visited Kendari City Council

MAMPU Program Team, Rumpun Perempuan Sulawesi Tenggara (RPS) and BaKTI were conducted a visitation to Kendari City Council (DPRD) in Kendari City, Southeast Sulawesi. It was aimed to convey results and achievements of program carried by (RPS) and BaKTI which supported by MAMPU Program.

RPS has provided capacity building trainings to parliamentarians, such as: regional preparation of the draft, public speaking, and gender budgeting.

This meeting was attended by the legislators from various political parties. The discussion was led by the Chairman of Kendari City Council, Abdul Razak.

Abdul Razak expressed his appreciation to the program since it gave many benefits for the parliament members.

“The trainings were very useful for us. Prior to it, we only had limited knowledge, “said Abdul Razak.

Similar to him, Ahmad Labello from the PKS, impressed with the MAMPU programs through RPS.

“The training and methods were easy to understand and not too theoretical. Thus, it can be applied to the public directly, “said Ahmad Labello.

At the beginning of the program, Kendari City Council were not too enthusiastic about the offered programs. They did not know the benefit of these programs for the parliament. But later on, Kendari City Council agreed to signed the MoU with RPS in terms of strengthening the capacity of Women parliament members (APP) and Men parliament members (APL) in Kendari.

For sharing the program information, BaKTI also invited the Chairman of Pare-Pare City Council to join this visitation and meeting.
