Swara Parangpuan, one of MAMPU’s sub-partners, held a meeting and hearing with Manado City Mayor, Vicky Lumentut on 23rd June 2016. This meeting was conducted to discuss the high incidence of violence against women in the Manado city, both within the school and outside of school.

Therefore, precautionary measures by the society and government are needed. As the follow up, Swara Parangpuan and the Mayor will schedule another meeting to discuss coping strategies.
